What −18°C to −25°C Transport Actually Requires
A freezer van is not a chiller van with a colder thermostat. Deep-freeze bodies use thicker polyurethane insulation (typically 75–100 mm versus 50 mm on a chiller), a higher-capacity condensing unit, and a floor channel design that keeps cold air circulating under pallets rather than pooling at the doors. Without those three elements a van will reach −18°C on an empty test run in a workshop and then fail on a real Dubai route with eight door openings and 45°C ambient heat.
Our deep-freeze fleet is pre-cooled before dispatch, which matters more than most operators expect. Loading warm cargo into a warm body is the single most common cause of frozen product arriving with visible ice crystals — a defect that tells your customer the load partially thawed and refroze.
